Myia is passionate about building a veterinary practice where exceptional medicine, compassionate client service, and a supportive team culture come together. As Practice Manager, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring the team has the resources and support needed to provide outstanding care for every patient and family who walks through the door. She earned her degree in Surgical Technology and combines her clinical background with a passion for practice management and leadership. She brings a unique blend of experience from both veterinary medicine and human healthcare, along with backgrounds in shelter medicine, volunteer management, nonprofit work, and neonatal kitten care. Myia has spent years fostering neonatal kittens for open-admission animal shelters, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients and advocating for animals in need. Her experiences outside of veterinary medicine have also shaped the leader she is today.
As a Navy wife and now a Navy mom, Myia has learned the importance of adaptability, organization, resilience, and building strong support systems through every season of life. Raising four children and now embracing her role as a GiGi to her granddaughter has strengthened her ability to lead with patience, compassion, and understanding. Myia’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is supporting the doctors and staff behind the scenes, streamlining processes, removing obstacles, and creating an environment where the team can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care while creating a positive experience for clients and their pets.
Outside of the hospital, Myia enjoys spending time with her Jeep club and exploring everything from the mountains to the ocean. On a warm day, you can often find her cruising with the top and doors off, enjoying the freedom of the open air and the beauty of the world around her. She also enjoys caring for her ever-growing collection of plants, tending to her farm, and continuing her passion for helping neonatal kittens. Myia believes in leading with kindness, embracing lifelong learning, and lives by the philosophy, “Bloom where you are planted.”
