For as long as I can remember, I have been fortunate enough to share a special connection with the animals around me. Not only does being a veterinarian allow me to have an ongoing impact on the health and well-being of animals, it also provides me the joy of surrounding myself with them each day. It is an incredible honor to earn the trust of pet owners; I pride myself in providing outstanding care to my patients to aid in building and maintaining the special human-animal bond between pets and their people.
A native of Minneapolis, MN, my tendency to seek out warmer climate led me to put down roots in North Carolina in 2014. I attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, followed by internship training and several years of practice in Gaithersburg, MD. While the first eight years of my veterinary career were centered on emergency medicine, I am excited to turn my focus to preventative care and have the opportunity to form lifelong relationships with my patients and clients. Whether in an emergency setting or otherwise, communication and compassionate care are always my focus.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, traveling, catching up on movies, and eating tasty food around the Triangle. My husband, Rob, and I share our home with Lana, the dignified senior dachshund; a rambunctious Chiweenie named Frances; and our ancient kitty, Burt.
